Tertiary Minerals PLC - US and Zambia-focused mineral exploration and development company with a focus on energy transition metals - Reports the its Mukai copper-nickel project in Zambia has reserves and resources of over 2.7 billion tonnes averaging 0.55% copper and has an annual production of 555,000 tonnes of refined copper. Says that data from First Quantum Minerals suggests exploration potential for both copper and nickel at Mukai. Says its 2023 exploration programme will commence at the project with a property-wide soil sampling programme and field follow-up of anomalous areas, as well as more detailed work adjoining the Tirosa Prospect. Adds it is awaiting approval of its Environmental Project Brief from the Zambian Environment Management Authority and the issue of a Forest Permit to allow exploration to commence.
