Tekcapital PLC on Wednesday noted that Innovative Eyewear Inc, in which it holds a 67% stake, filed a patent for a ChatGPT enabled smart eyewear, an AI system supported by Microsoft Corp. ‘The software system covered by the patent application focuses on one or more smart devices, which may include smart glasses, that operate with chatbots such as ChatGPT. The inventive application may provide an efficient and effective tool for obtaining a desired response drawn from one or multiple chatbots,’ Innovative Eyewear, which licences the exclusive rights to the Lucyd eyewear brand, said. Innovative Eyewear Chief Executive Officer Harrison Gross said: ‘We believe we are the first smart eyewear company to provide (patent-pending), artificial intelligence voice accessibility on Bluetooth-enabled eyewear. With our new Lucyd app, we are continuing to make eyewear more flexible and smarter than ever before.’ Tekcapital shares rose 9.1% to 18.00 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.
