Mycelx announces successful leach testing for safe water systems

ALN

Mycelx Technologies Corp said on Monday that leach testing of perfluoroalkyl and poly-fluoroalkyl compounds media was ‘successful’ and is in line with the US Environmental Protection Agency’s water regulations.

The Georgia, US-based clean water and air technology company said its trial for the treatment of PFAS proved to safely dispose of PFAS-contaminated compound media. PFAS are a collection of long-lasting man-made toxic chemicals.

Mycelx said its containerised, mobile PFAS remeditation system, which includes Mycelx infused cartridge filtration and performer media, treats PFAS-contaminated leachate from a solid waste landfill, and prevents it from leaching back into water systems.

These results come after Mycelx announced in January that it had secured a paid trial from the US EPA for the treatment of PFAS compounds.

Shares were up 11% at 34.91 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
