Trinity Exploration shares up as production resumes following fire

ALN

Trinity Exploration & Production PLC on Thursday said production has resumed at the Bravo platform in the Trintes Field, following approval from the Ministry of Energy & Energy Industries.

Trinity Exploration is a Trinidad & Tobago-focused independent exploration and production company, with assets onshore and offshore on both the East and West Coasts.

Last week, the company told investors that a fire had broken out at the platform, which is offshore the east coast of Trinidad, on April 10. Production was halted and the platform subsequently evacuated, while the other Trintes platforms, Delta and Alpha, were also shut down.

Following approval from the Ministry of Energy & Energy Industries, Trinity has now successfully restored oil production from all previously producing wells on the Bravo platform.

As previously announced, Alpha and Delta platforms restarted oil production from all previously producing wells last Tuesday.

Prior to the incident, oil production from the Bravo platform accounted for approximately 350 barrels of oil per day. Total Trintes field production is approximately 1,010 barrels.

Trinity Exploration & Production shares were trading 5.1% higher at 87.79 pence each in London on Thursday late morning.
