Inland Homes touts planning consent for development in West Hounslow

ALN

Inland Homes PLC on Monday celebrated securing planning consent for a mixed-use development at Cavalry Barracks in West Hounslow.

Inland Homes is a brownfield developer, housebuilder and partnership housing company with a focus on the South and South East of England.

The Cavalry Barracks project sits within the group’s asset management division, and is one of the largest remaining brownfield sites in London, at 36.7 acres. Inland has secured permission for a mixed-use development at the site, comprised of 1,525 homes and 2,700 square metres of commercial space.

As part of the approved plans, 14 Grade II-listed and nine locally-listed buildings will be retained and brought back to life.

Inland told investors it is now supporting the external investors who are working on the disposal strategy and delivery options for the site.

‘Cavalry Barracks, Hounslow is an exceptional site and we have worked closely with the London Borough of Hounslow to agree the terms of the Section 106 agreement and achieve this significant planning consent. For a site of this historical significance and scale, this clearly demonstrates Inland Homes’ success in working collaboratively with local Councils to secure planning consent on complex brownfield sites,’ said interim Chief Executive Officer Nish Malde.

‘With the consent granted, we look forward to supporting the external investors behind this impressive development and in that delivering regeneration and prosperity for Hounslow.’

Inland Homes shares remain suspended, pending the publication of its annual results.
