Currys PLC - London-based electronics and electrical goods retailer - Confirms that European Economic Area competition regulator ESA has informed Currys’ subsidiaries Elkjop Nordic AS and Elkjop Norge AS that it is opening formal proceedings, to examine whether Elkjop has infringed EEA competition rules in Norway. Currys notes that this decision is procedural only and should not be taken to mean that Elkjop has infringed said competition rules. Currys says: ‘We take our competition law responsibilities seriously.
