Brand Architekts Group PLC - London-based challenger brand business in beauty sector - Chair Roger McDowell takes temporary sabbatical for ‘family health reasons’ until September. Will remain a director during the intervening period. Independent Non-Executive Director Chris How will assume responsibilities of being chair in McDowell’s absence. On Monday, three London-listed companies also announced McDowell would take a sabbatical as their chair. Flowtech Fluidpower PLC said McDowell will hand over the chair with immediate effect to Non-Executive Director Jamie Brooke until August 31, when McDowell will resume his role as chair. McDowell’s sabbatical also applies to his role as chair at Hargreaves Services PLC, a Durham, England-based property and infrastructure development company, and at Avingtrans PLC, a Cambridgeshire-based company that supplies components to the energy, medical and industrial sectors. Both Hargreaves Services and Avingtrans said the sabbatical is for ‘family health reasons’, while McDowell is also set to remain as a director at both firms during the intervening period.
