Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust PLC - Edinburgh-based investment trust, which invests primarily in UK securities - Net asset value per share as at April 30 falls by 7.5% to 182.78 pence per share, from 197.70 pence on October 31. NAV total return for the period is down 7.5%, compared to a fall of 1.5% in the S&P Global Smaller Companies index. For the six months ended on April 30, net return before tax falls to £58,705 from £458,073 the year before. Looking ahead, says it remains confident that the holdings in the portfolio represent ‘a collection of some of the most exciting and transformational long-term investment opportunities available’.
