Tekcapital PLC - London-based intellectual property investment company - Says investee Guident Ltd has received notice of allowance from the US patent and trademark office for ‘Systems and Methods for Remote Monitoring of a Vehicle, Robot or Drone’ patent application. Patent teaches architecture and methods for near real-time monitoring and controlling autonomous vehicles and delivery devices fleets. Teleoperation architecture includes in-vehicle device which predicts, detects and reports incidents to a remote monitor and control centre which can provide support such as calling emergency services or commandeering a vehicle to move it somewhere safe. Human-in-the-loop supervises AI software to enhance safety of AVs, robots and drones. Gabriel Castaneda, Guident’s vice president for AI & research, says: ‘We are thrilled to unveil this remarkable addition to our intellectual property portfolio.
