Celtic PLC - Glasgow-based football club - Appoints Brendan Rodgers as the club’s first team manager with immediate effect. Celtic says it is pleased to welcome Rodgers back to the club, following a ‘successful spell’ as manager between May 2016 and February 2019. At the start of June, the club confirmed that manager Ange Postecoglou left the club with immediate effect to join English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
