Goldplat PLC - mining services group with international gold recovery operations located in South Africa and Ghana - Says it is in the process of upgrading its tailing storage facility at the South African operation. Construction began in the second quarter, and was planned to be completed by the end of the fourth quarter, with one-month commissioning starting on July 1. However, the regulator for the site required specific monitoring equipment. That order has now been placed, and has a lead time of four to six weeks. Goldplat estimates that the current construction phase will be completed by the end of July, with commissioning starting at the beginning of August.
