Vast Resources PLC - London-based mining company with projects in Romania and Zimbabwe - Notes positive drilling results from phase one drilling at Baita Plai mine in Romania. Says 45 metres of the 164 metres that were assayed is ore. Says the exploration programme confirms the potential to extend the mining area. Chief Executive Officer Andrew Prelea says: ‘These exciting drill results, which exceed the initial estimation for the next working areas, give us increased confidence in the potential to extend the mining area at Baita Plai from its existing base and then to report a Joint Ore Reserve Committee compliant mineral resource.’ Shares in Vast Resources were down by 2.2% at 0.36 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
