Apax Global Alpha Ltd - provides access to private equity funds advised by Apax Partners LLP - Takes part in acquisition of controlling stake in Palex Medical SA, a Barcelona-based medical technology supplier. Apax XI Fund, in which Apax Global Alpha is a limited partner, agrees to buy a co-controlling stake in Palex, alongside Fremman Capital, part of Fremman Ltd. For its part, Apax Global Alpha will invest about €15 million on a look-through basis. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter. Palex was founded in 1955 and provides medical equipment to hospitals and laboratories in Spain, Portugal and Italy.
