Base Resources lowers Kenya mineral resource estimate due to depletion

ALN

Base Resources Ltd on Friday said it lowered its mineral resource and ore reserve estimates at its Kwale operations in Kenya due to depletion.

The West Perth, Australia-based African-focused mineral sands producer and developer said as at June 30 it estimates 184 metric tonnes at Kwale, down from 205 metric tonnes a year ago.

At its Ranobe deposit in Madagascar, the estimate stayed the same at 2,580 metric tonnes.

Base Resources shares rose 2.8% to 10.49 pence each on Friday morning in London.
