Byotrol PLC - Chester, England-based manufacturer of biocidal and antimicrobial cleaning products - Announces launch of ‘next-generation’ Chemgene Medlab range of multi-surface disinfectants for emergency services, laboratories and human health organisations. Products are designed for ‘low toxicity and regulatory approval across the UK and EU under the increasingly stringent biocidal regulations’. Byotrol says the disinfectants are ‘very effective’ against various bacteria, yeasts, fungi and viruses including Candidia Auris, the norovirus and the coronovirus. The Chemgene brand was previously marketed by Medimark Scientific Ltd and acquired by Byotrol in 2018. Chief Executive Officer Vivan Pinto says the launch ‘is a huge step forward in our plans to future-proof our portfolio for EU and UK [biocidal products regulation] regulatory approvals. It is the second big recent step for us in healthcare markets, following the successful launch of Anigene into animal health markets last year.
