HC Slingsby appoints Mpac chair as independent non-executive chair

ALN

HC Slingsby PLC on Tuesday said it appointed packaging and automation firm Mpac Group PLC Chair Andrew Kitchingman as its independent non-executive chair, effective immediately.

The Shipley, England-based industrial and commercial equipment distributor said Kitchingmabn is also a non-executive director at Andrew Sykes Group PLC and chair of the British Board of Agrement.

HC Slingsby Chief Executive Officer Morgan Morris pointed to Kitchingman having worked in corporate finance for nearly 30 years, including advising smaller listed and AIM-quoted firms.

‘[This will be valuable for the group,’ Morris said. ‘More recently, Andrew has built a second career as a non-executive director and chairman of both AIM-quoted and privately-owned companies, including significant experience with Yorkshire-headquartered Mpac Group where he remains chairman, and Bradford-based Incommunities Group Ltd, which he served for seven years until 2020.’

‘Andrew is based in Yorkshire and is active in several local and community roles, and we welcome his contribution to Slingsby, given our longstanding presence in the region.’

Kitchingman was formerly a non-executive director at MORhomes PLC and Lonpro Holdings PLC.

Shares in HC Slingsby were quoted at 265.0 pence each, having last traded on September 1.
