IN BRIEF: Tekcapital says MicroSalt crisps to be sold in Longs Drugs

ALN

Tekcapital PLC - London-based intellectual property investment company - Says Hawaii-based pharmacy chain, Longs Drugs, will supply MicroSalt’s ’SaltMe!’ crisps in their stores. Tekcapital holds an 87% stake in London-based Microsalt. Microsalt’s patent protected and scalable manufacturing process produces salt crystals about 100 times smaller than those in traditional salt.

MicroSalt Chief Executive Officer Rick Guiney says: ‘We are very excited about the placement of our SaltMe low sodium crisps with the Longs Drug chain. Excess sodium consumption is one of the leading contributors to hypertension and heart disease. Placements like this are the best way to provide consumers with great tasting, healthy products with less sodium.’
