Coca-Cola HBC’s finance chief to leave firm for North America role

ALN

Coca-Cola HBC AG on Monday said its chief financial officer intends to leave the company to take up a new unnamed opportunity in North America.

The Switzerland-based strategic bottling partner of Coca-Cola Co said Ben Almanzar will remain as CFO until the end of May to ensure an effective transition of his responsibilities.

Coca-Cola HBC said it is conducting a search for its next CFO considering internal and external candidates.

A further announcement will be made ‘when appropriate’, Coca-Cola HBC said.

‘I would like to thank Ben for his commitment and valuable contributions to the company over the past three years. During his tenure, he played a key part in implementing our strategic initiatives, navigating a challenging external environment, developing his team and delivering strong results,’ said Chief Executive Officer Zoran Bogdanovic.

Outgoing Almanzar commented: ‘As a long-term shareholder, I have every confidence in the future success of the business. I remain fully focused on the continued delivery of the company’s strong performance and enabling an effective transition to ensure that Coca-Cola HBC continues to capture the exciting opportunities ahead.’

Shares in Coca-Cola HBC closed up 0.8% to 2,383.50 pence each in London on Monday.
