Grafton Group PLC said it appointed Ian Tyler, the former chair of Vistry Group PLC, as chair designate from the start of March. The Dublin-based building materials distributor and DIY store chain operator said Tyler will replace current Chair Michael Roney after the company’s annual general meeting on May 2. Tyler is currently a non-executive director at London-based mining company Anglo American PLC and at Essex, England-based chemicals manufacturer Synthomer PLC. He is currently the chair of design and technical consulting firm BMT Group Ltd, and of drinking water supplier Affinity Water Ltd. Tyler was the chair of Kent, England-based housebuilder Vistry from 2013 until 2022. Grafton shares fell 3.0% to 904.90 pence each on Wednesday afternoon in London. Copyright 2024 Alliance News Ltd.
