Topps Tiles PLC - Leicester-based tile retailer - Says several motions at annual general meeting receive sizeable dissent, with one not passing. Just under 37% back approval of directors’ remuneration report. Just over 37% reject re-election of Non-Executive Director Diana Breeze. Just over 37% reject motion on approval to allot shares. Just under 37% reject motion granting authority to purchase shares. The latter motion failed to pass. The rest went through without a hitch. Topps Tiles adds: ‘The board confirms that it will consult and engage with the relevant shareholders to understand and discuss their views with respect to these resolutions.
