N4 Pharma PLC - Derbyshire, England-based pharmaceutical company, focused on the development of Nuvec - University of Queensland has informed the company that it has been notified by its Indian patent attorney of the granting of its patent for Nuvec in India. Nuvec is a novel silica nanoparticle delivery system for cancer treatments, gene therapy and vaccines. N4 Pharma says the granted patent in India is for a composition of matter patent for the particle itself, alongside the manufacturing process relating to how the particle is made. Says it matches the patents granted in the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia and China. Chief Executive Officer Nigel Theobald says: ‘The granting of this patent is a further indication of the strength of the intellectual property we have licensed from the University of Queensland and we now have all of the major global territories with granted patents for Nuvec.’ Current stock price: 1.00 pence, up 3.1% 12-month change: down 50% Copyright 2024 Alliance News Ltd.
