PCI-PAL PLC - Suffolk, England-based cloud provider of secure payment solutions for business communications - Notes its competitor Sycurio Ltd has appealed the outcome of a patent case which, as announced in December, saw the UK High Court ruling in PCI-PAL’s favour. PCI-PAL says it ‘will of course contest [the appeal] and strongly believes it has no merit and has been brought in a continuing attempt by Sycurio to disrupt and put pressure on PCI-PAL’. Says Sycurio’s application to stay the interim payment of PCI Pal’s costs of £1.1 million will be heard in the coming weeks by the Court of Appeal.
