Petards touts £400,000 camera order for subsidiary, QRO Solutions

ALN

Petards Group PLC on Tuesday said that its subsidiary, QRO Solutions Ltd, has secured an order for artificial intelligence-enabled cameras.

Petards is a London-based technology company that develops security and surveillance applications, focussing on rail, traffic, and defence. Shares in the firm were up 16% at 4.92 pence each in London on Tuesday morning.

Its subsidiary, QRO Solutions, develops automatic number plate recognition software - or ANPR solutions for short.

Subsequently, the order is for the firm’s artificial intelligence-enabled, ANPR cameras. It is worth £400,000, and should be fully delivered this year.

This is the first order for the supply and installation of QRO Solutions’ newly-developed Harrier AI ANPR cameras. The cameras will be installed at several ‘strategic highway locations’, which Petards argued should showcase the product to ‘existing and potential police force customers’.

‘We are delighted that Harrier AI cameras have been selected by our customer for this UK highways application demonstrating their confidence in QRO’s technology, high levels of customer service and support. This win reinforces QRO’s market position both as an innovator and a leading supplier of ANPR technologies in the UK,’ said Chair Raschid Abdullah.
