Senior strikes $130 million contract extension for plane parts

ALN

Senior PLC on Thursday said it has signed a five-year extension to its contract with Spirit AeroSystems Holdings Inc for aircraft components.

Senior is a Hertfordshire, England-based auto and aircraft components and systems manufacturer, while Spirit is a Kansas, US manufacturer for aero structures.

Senior said the deal is for the supply of large diameter precision formed and machined structural components for Boeing aircraft programmes.

The contract extension will commence in January 2026, and is valued at approximately $130 million over the five-year period.

Manufacturing will take place at Senior Aerospace Jet Products’ facility near San Diego, California, Senior said.

Senior Aerospace Chief Executive Officer Launie Fleming said: ‘Spirit AeroSystems is an important customer to Senior, who values our high levels of quality and on-time delivery. As aircraft build rates continue to increase, we are delighted to be awarded this five-year contract extension for precision, complex aero structure components.’

Shares in Senior rose 0.3% at 160.40 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
