HgCapital Trust PLC on Monday said that investment activity increased this year as it continued to focus on companies within the end market. HgCapital is an investment firm headquartered in London that participates in the private equity investments of Hg. HgCapital said estimated net asset value per share was 524.0 pence as at June 30, up 4.7% from 500.5p it had reported for December 31 back in March. Outstanding commitments to HG funds decreased 29% to £847 million as at June 30 from £1.2 billion at December 31. ‘Investment activity increased during 2024, with a continued focus on companies within the end market, mission-critical software and services ’clusters’ which Hg has tracked for many years. In addition to the investments that completed in the first half of the year, in July 2024, Hg completed the investment in AuditBoard. The previously announced investment in Focus Group is also expected to close in the coming months.’ HgCapital will release its half-year results on September 16.
