ALN

Cairn Homes PLC - Dublin-based housebuilder - Appoints Bernard Byrne, the former chief executive officer of Dublin-based lender AIB Group PLC, as chair designate from January 1. Byrne is also the former CEO of J+E Davy, which Cairn says is Ireland’s largest independent stockbroking and wealth management business. Byrne is set to succeed John Reynolds as chair of Cairn, who will retire at the end of April, after serving as the company’s chair since its initial public offering in 2015. Chief Executive Officer Michael Stanley says: ‘Bernard brings an impressive track record of leading very large private and public Irish companies. John Reynolds contribution as Chairman since IPO has been invaluable to Cairn and I look forward to working with both him and Bernard during the upcoming handover period.’
