Empire Metals to start next round of diamond drilling at Pitfield

ALN

Empire Metals Ltd on Tuesday said that it has started its next major exploration campaign on the Thomas and Cosgrove prospects at Pitfield.

Empire Metals is an exploration and resource development company, which is focused on the Pitfield titanium project in Western Australia.

It plans to conduct 1,000 metres of diamond core drilling at the site in October, and is focused on getting a better geological understanding of the weathered cap zone.

The campaign will investigate thickness, grade, and shape, and will also obtain additional drill core samples for metallurgical test work.

‘This drill campaign is focused on proving up the extent, grade and shape of the concentrated zone of high-purity anatase within the extensive weathered cap and providing further metallurgical samples which is of particular importance to our ongoing, project development plans,’ said Managing Director Shaun Bunn.

Shares in Empire Metals were down 1.3% at 7.06 pence each in London on Tuesday afternoon.
