IN BRIEF: Kavango says Karakubis Copper Project test results promising

ALN

Kavango Resources PLC - London-headquartered metal exploration company - Updates on phase 1 stratigraphic drill campaign at the Karakubis Copper Project in Botswana’s Kalahari Copper Belt. Analysis of intersections from five holes shows the same stratigraphic sequences at Karakubis as those likely present at Sandfire Resources’ Motheo Mine and similar to MMG’s Zone 5 Deposit, two of the largest copper deposits in Kalahari. All five holes demonstrate evidence of being functioning structural ‘trap-sites’ and of substantial hydrothermal alteration, findings which show the ground at Karakubis will likely yield large-scale copper-silver deposits. Drilling at all five holes also confirmed the presence of copper, silver, lead and zinc mineralisation. As a result of the findings, the company is conducting further geophysical surveying to determine a target list for future drills. The surveys will be completed alongside the remainder of Kavango’s 5,000-metre diamond programme.
