IN BRIEF: SDI Group acquires InspecVision for £8.7 million

SDI Group PLC - Cambridge, England-based medical technology company - Acquires industrial and scientific product manufacturer, InspecVision Ltd, for a total consideration of £8.7 million to capitalise on future growth in the metrology market. InspecVision will join SDI’s Industrial & Scientific Products division.

‘InspecVision is a high-quality, profitable business which fulfils our key investment criteria of trading in a growth sector, with international exposure and a strong management team. The acquisition presents a rare opportunity to buy such a good business poised to capitalise on future growth in the metrology market,’ says Chief Executive Officer Stephen Brown.

‘Its US market presence also provides a platform to deliver additional value to other group portfolio companies, particularly through cross-selling synergies and opening up new routes to market,’ he continues.

Current stock price: 55.00 pence, up 3.8% in London on Wednesday morning

12-month change: down 46%
