AB Dynamics reports ‘strong’ growth; sees slight profit beat next year

ALN

AB Dynamics PLC on Tuesday reported strong full-year revenue and profit increases due to high demand and margin growth.

AB Dynamics is a Wiltshire, England-based designer, manufacturer and supplier of advanced testing, simulation and measurement products.

Revenue grew by 10% in the year to the end of August, to £111.3 million from £100.8 million.

Pretax profit increased by 4.3% to £12.0 million from £11.5 million. The company said market and customer activity levels were positive throughout the year.

The company gave a final dividend of 5.30 pence per share, up 20% on-year, giving a total dividend for the year of 7.63 pence per share, also up by 20% from 6.36 pence last year.

AB Dynamics said it expects to deliver adjusted operating profit for 2025 slightly ahead of current expectations, which it puts at £21.5 million.

Adjusted operating profit grew by 22% in financial 2024 to £20.3 million from £16.6 million last year.

It said early trading in the new financial year had been ‘strong’, with a solid order book providing good visibility in the new year.

Adjusted operating margin also improved to 18.2% from 16.5% due to operating leverage and operational improvements.

Chief Executive Officer James Routh said: ‘The group has delivered a very strong performance, with sustained high levels of demand across key markets, demonstrating the benefits of the investment made in recent years in the commercial and operating capability of the business.

‘We see significant opportunity in our core markets in automotive, which are supported by long-term structural and regulatory growth drivers, and are continuing to invest in new product development and technology,’ he continued.

Shares in AB Dynamics were up 2.5% to 2,080.00 pence in London on Tuesday afternoon.
