IN BRIEF: Duke Capital profit and sales plunge, holds dividend

Duke Capital Ltd - Guernsey-based provider of capital solutions to small and medium-sized business owners in Europe and North America - Pretax profit plummets to £2.2 million in the six months to September 30 from £12.3 million a year prior. Total income more than halves to £10.3 million from £25.6 million. Recurring revenue totals £12.7 million, up 4.1% on £12.2 million. Dividend unchanged at 1.40 pence per share. Operating costs fall to £3.2 million from £4.9 million.

‘With a strong, well-funded balance sheet and numerous growth opportunities under review, we have a positive outlook for the months ahead. The private credit and direct lending markets continue to go from strength to strength and we have confidence that our diversified portfolio is well positioned for continued resilience,’ says Chair Nigel Birrell.

Current share price: 29.50 pence, up 0.9% on Monday
