BHP Group Ltd - Melbourne, Australia-based miner - Says it has been served with a representative class action proceeding in the Federal Court of Australia. It relates to allegations of sexual harassment and sex discrimination. Claim is brought on behalf of women who worked at BHP in Australia at any time between November 12, 2003 to March 11, 2024 who were impacted.

Says the proceeding is at a preliminary stage and the amount of damages sought is unspecified. ‘BHP’s absolute priority is the safety and wellbeing of its people. Any form of harassment is not tolerated at BHP’, the company says.
