IN BRIEF: Airtel Africa starts new $100 million share buyback

Airtel Africa PLC - telecommunications and mobile money services provider in 14 countries in Africa - Starts its second share buyback programme as a listed company in London. The up to $100 million buyback starts on Monday with a $50 million first tranche. This tranche will be run by Barclays Capital Securities Ltd, part of Barclays PLC, and will be completed by April 24. A previous $100 million buyback was launched in March and completed in October. Airtel Africa listed in London in mid-2019.

Current stock price: 108.32 pence, up 2.9% in London early Monday
