IN BRIEF: Vianet signs monitoring technology deal with ‘global brewer’

ALN

Vianet Group PLC - Stockton-on-Tees, England-based provider of retail sales and volume monitoring systems - Strikes agreement with an unnamed ‘global brewing industry leader’ to deploy Vianet’s draught beer monitoring system, Beverage Metrics, across the UK. The agreement, which Vianet says arose from its business relationship with Oxford Partnership, will see new installations of Beverage Metrics starting this quarter, Vianet’s financial fourth quarter, and throughout financial 2026. It is expected to increase the number of Beverage Metrics installations in the UK by 5% in the next 18 months.

Vinet bought Colorado, US-based food-and-drink industry technology provider Beverage Metrics Inc back in May 2023. ‘This new agreement represents a strong strategic validation of our investment in Beverage Metrics and the value of our partnership approach,’ says Vianet Chair & Chief Executive Officer James Dickson, adding: ‘Combined with the encouraging progress we are making in the USA and the recent long-term contract extensions with Heineken’s Star Pubs & Bars and Greene King, this milestone underscores the growing recognition of our solutions and their ability to deliver tangible value by helping customers achieve more with less.’
