4imprint Group PLC on Tuesday said it had made ‘solid’ progress in 2024 despite a ‘challenging’ market backdrop. The London-based direct marketer and distributor of promotional merchandise expects pretax profit in 2024 to be not less than $153 million, up 8.7% from $140.7 million a year prior, above the upper end of analysts’ forecasts. In November, the company had forecast full-year pretax profit at just over $150 million. Revenue is seen 3.0% higher at $1.37 billion compared with $1.33 billion in 2023. 4imprint said total order count and average order value for the year were both 2% higher than 2023. New customer orders were 9% below prior year, reflecting continued uncertainty around economic conditions, while existing customer orders were up 5%. ‘The group made solid operational progress in 2024, despite a challenging market backdrop,’ the firm said in a statement. Gross profit margin has remained strong at around 32%, while operating profit margin rose double digits. 4Imprint will announce its final results for the year ended December 28 on March 12.
