Kodal Minerals hails first spodumene concentrate output at Bougouni

ALN

Kodal Minerals PLC on Tuesday announced that first spodumene concentrate has been produced at its Bougouni lithium project in southern Mali.

This comes after the West Africa-focused mineral explorer and developer on January 20 announced that the power generation plant was now operational.

Chief Executive Officer Bernard Aylward said: ‘The first production of spodumene concentrate at Bougouni marks a major milestone for Kodal and I would like to thank our entire team for this achievement, which wholly reflects the dedication and effort of all those involved. We are confident that this progress will continue into the commercial production phase and our project team will continue to work towards our 10,000 tonnes per month target at Bougouni.’

Kodal shares rose 5.6% to 0.42 pence each around noon on Tuesday in London.
