IN BRIEF: Oracle Power makes progress on Northern Zone mining lease

ALN

Oracle Power PLC - Australia and Pakistan-focused projects developer - Says the Resource Tenor branch of the Australian Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation & Safety has advised that the notification period for Oracle’s M25/389 mining lease application under section 29 of the Native Title Act will end on May 29. Oracle says its future drilling campaign will be guided by the ‘promising’ drill results to date at the Northern Zone gold project, and will establish a mineral resource estimate.

Chief Executive Officer Naheed Memon says: ‘This is good news for upgrading the tenement status to a mining lease. We have embarked on a prescriptive process with the government to get the tenement upgraded from a prospecting licence. We have appointed lawyers to assist with [Native Title Act] negotiations where necessary, and we will provide material updates on the tenement tenure when available.’
