Assura PLC - Warrington, England-based care property investor and developer - Notes recent media speculation and confirms that it has received a preliminary, unsolicited approach from Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co Partners LLP and USS Investment Management Ltd, acting on behalf of Universities Superannuation Scheme Ltd, which ‘may or may not lead to an offer being made for the company’. Assura is currently reviewing the proposal with its advisers and will make a further announcement ‘as appropriate’. Shareholders are advised to take no action.
