Indivior shrinks size of board after US primary listing

ALN

Indivior PLC on Tuesday said it is reducing the size of its board to seven following its US primary listing last year.

The Richmond, Virginia-based maker of medicines to treat substance use said each of the seven directors will stand for re-election at the upcoming annual general meeting.

The company’s website currently lists 11 directors on the board.

Indivior said Peter Bains and Jo LeCouilliard have decided not to stand for re-election at the AGM.

Robert Schriesheim has stepped down as independent non-executive director, effective from last Sunday.

The company said it will start a search for one new independent non-executive director, whose appointment will be confirmed by July 1.

Chair David Wheadon said: ‘Peter Bains, Jo LeCouilliard and Rob Schriesheim have been unswerving in their support of bringing needed therapeutic interventions to patients suffering from opioid use disorder. I sincerely thank them for the service they have given to Indivior.’

Last Thursday Indivior appointed Non-Executive Director Joe Ciaffoni as chief executive officer, replacing Mark Crossley. The handover is expected to be after Indivior’s annual general meeting in May.

Shares in Indivior were down 2.9% to 731.50 pence in London on Tuesday afternoon.
