Power Metal Resources PLC, up 10% at 13.50 pence, 12-month range 11.50p-21.00p. The metals exploration company with projects in the US, Canada, Botswana, Saudi Arabia and Australia says work at the Reitenbach uranium property in Canada has progressed. Geophysical data finds the presence of ‘multiple prospective target areas’. ‘Fieldwork in the northeastern portion of the property, including the Nuphar and Goodleap Targets, has identified multiple potential basement sources of uranium,’ it adds.

OPG Power Ventures PLC, up 4.9% at 4.82 pence, 12-month range 4.00p-12.84p. The developer and operator of power plants in India expects to report earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation for the year to March 31 in line with market expectations. It adds: ‘To drive sustainable growth, the group is evaluating and assessing various investment opportunities in the energy sector with various state governments within India and has signed memorandum of understanding with government of Madhya Pradesh and government of Karnataka.’
