Ireland producer prices fall 0.5% year-on-year in February

Irish producer prices declined both monthly and annually last month, numbers on Friday showed.

According to the Central Statistics Office, producer prices fell 0.5% on-year in February, the first annual decline since October. Prices had risen 2.1% annually in January.

On a monthly basis, prices declined 0.9%. They had edged up 0.1% in January from December.

‘Producer prices for products sold on the domestic market were 1.0% higher in February 2025 compared with February 2024. In the 12 months to February 2025, export producer prices fell by 0.5%,’ CSO analyst Deirdre Toher said.
