Caledonia Mining Corp PLC - Zimbabwe-focused exploration, development and mining firm - Delays the publication of its 2024 results as a result of auditors ‘raising a query regarding the accounting treatment of deferred tax dating back to 2019’. Its full-year results release will be delayed until the issue is resolved, but the firm expects to publish no later than March 31. As the accounting issue is non-cash in nature, Caldeonia expects its underlying performance for 2024 to be in line with previous guidance and market expectations. The outcome of the query will have no impact on the firm’s cash position. Chester Goodburn will now remain chief financial officer at the company for an additional week and step down on March 31, following the release of results.
