BATM Advanced Communications Ltd - Hod Hasharon, Israel-based provider of real-time technologies for networking solutions and medical laboratory systems - Announces that its Edgility edge virtualisation and management platform has been selected by Telecomunicaçoes Brasileiras SA, a Brazilian telecommunications company that implements the federal government’s communication network and supports public broadband policies as well as serving the enterprise market. Telebras is a publicly-held, mixed-economy corporation linked to the Ministry of Communications of Brazil. Chief Executive Moti Nagar says the deal is ‘further validation’ of the ‘strategic action that we took last year to enhance our focus on Latin America, which represents a significant target market for our Networking division.’ Continues: ‘We are excited to work with Telebras to accelerate Brazil’s digital development and unlock innovative new use cases across the country at the edge. With their significant market presence, we believe this partnership could become a significant contributor to Edgility revenue.
