IN BRIEF: EnSilica grows chip supply pipeline with $18 million win

ALN

EnSilica PLC - Oxford, England-based maker of mixed-signal application-specific integrated circuits - Secures design and supply contract from an unnamed ‘leading’ European supplier of electromechanical products, for an Arm chip-based mixed signal interface Asic. The intended use is across automotive and industrial applications. Contract value includes non-recurring engineering payments and supply revenue, says EnSilica, estimated to exceed $18 million over seven years. The contract starts in April, with supply revenue forecast to commence in 2027. The deal ‘materially increases’ EnSilica’s chip supply pipeline, it says, now valued in excess of $250 million. Notes that this pipeline total refers to the total expected lifetime chip supply revenue secured under customer contracts.

Chief Executive Ian Lankshear comments: ‘This is another exciting design win that enhances our growing portfolio of Asics and further improves the visibility of our recurring revenues from chip supply. This new European customer is highly respected in the industry and has a strong track record of shipping its products in high volume.’

Current stock price: 39.77p, closed up 3.3% on Thursday in London.
