LifeSafe and Trinity Fire & Rescue launch new fire extinguisher

ALN

Lifesafe PLC, a fire safety technology business, has launched a new fire extinguisher in partnership with Trinity Fire & Rescue Ltd, the two companies said on Wednesday.

The partnership between the two began in May last year and has culminated in the launch of the new six-litre multi purpose fluid extinguisher. The traditional cylinder fire extinguisher is accredited for putting out lithium-ion battery fires, which LifeSafe noted are increasing in frequency.

Essex, England-based LifeSafe develops eco-friendly fire extinguishing prevention fluids as well as fire safety products.

Chair of LifeSafe Dominic Berger said: ‘Our launch with Trinity Fire & Security, a hugely prestigious and respected industry leader, marks a significant milestone for LifeSafe and will provide access to a global market valued at $9 billion annually.’

Trinity Fire & Rescue, a Devon, England-based group, was founded in 1997 and provides fire safety equipment and services to a range of sectors, including having customers from the UK Ministry of Defence, the NHS, IKEA, John Lewis, Selfridges and Heathrow Airport.

Richard Castle-Smith, head of Fire Suppression at Trinity Fire & Security, said: ‘In the development of the MPF Fire Extinguisher alongside LifeSafe Technologies, we conducted many tests, some of which were filmed. They make compelling viewing, demonstrating the ease and speed with which fires are controlled and extinguished - even with a small amount of the multipurpose fluid.’

LifeSafe shares were untraded at 8.50 pence in London on Wednesday morning.
