Haydale’s JustHeat heating system achieves CE certification

ALN

Haydale Graphene Industries PLC on Wednesday said its graphene-based heating system JustHeat has successfully achieved CE marking certification on Wednesday.

The advanced materials group’s JustHeat has, therefore, complied with stringent European safety and environmental standards.

According to Haydale, the certification enables their system to be legally marketed and installed in residential, commercial and industrial buildings across the UK and the European Economic Area. This also supports the transition to electric low-carbon heating solutions.

JustHeat is designed for affordable installation and is a low-voltage, energy-efficient solution.

Chief Executive Officer of Haydale Simon Turek said: ‘Securing CE certification for JustHeat is a major technical and commercial milestone. It confirms that our graphene-based heating system meets the highest European and UK safety standards.’

When compared to traditional heating methods like gas boilers, air source heat pumps and traditional electric or wet underfloor heating systems, according to Haydale, the JustHeat direct heating system offers up to 90% lower carbon emissions and up to 75% energy cost savings, according to preliminary performance data from controlled trials and third-party testing.

Ammanford, Wales-based Haydale focuses on commercialising its propriety heating in-based technology and integrating graphene and other nanomaterials into industrial applications.

The company is currently progressing in its discussions with distributors, hotel owners, office developers, social landlords, retrofit contractors, and housing developers.

The group saw the first commercial installations in the UK at the end of March.

Haydale sales closed up 7.4% at 0.14 pence in London on Wednesday.
