Sanderson Design Group launches Highgrove Gardens-inspired collection

ALN

Sanderson Design Group PLC on Thursday said it has launched its Highgrove by Saunderson collection, inspired by Highgrove Gardens.

The London-based furnishings and interior design company said the collection, drawing on the Sanderson archive, includes a range of fabrics and wallpapers, inspired by the gardens renowned for being restored by King Charles over the past 45 years.

The collection will be launched on May 1 and will be sold online, Highgrove shops, and through the group’s global distribution network.

Sanderson said its work with the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust, which was founded 35 years ago by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother to support excellence in making, enabled the collection to be developed.

The company said Highgrove will receive a royalty on sales of the collection which will go to The King’s Foundation to support the charity’s work.

Retail director at The King’s Foundation Scott Simpson said: ‘In the spirit of everything we do at Highgrove, this collection has been inspired by the beautiful gardens which are open to the public for visitors to enjoy.’

Founded by King Charles and first formed in 1990, the foundation is a charity offers education courses to almost 15,000 students annually and health and wellbeing programmes for nearly 2,000 people every year.

Chief executive officer of Sanderson Design Group Lisa Montague said: ‘It has been a great honour to work with Highgrove and The King’s Foundation on this wonderful Sanderson collection, which reflects his majesty’s passion and enthusiasm for the remarkable gardens created at Highgrove.

Sanderson shares fell 0.7% to 45.70 pence in London on Thursday morning.
