Eco Buildings hits output milestone at Albania factory, eyes expansion

ALN

Eco Buildings Group PLC on Tuesday said it has achieved a production milestone at its Albanian factory, with plans underway to expand capacity as demand for its modular housing solutions continues to grow.

The London-based manufacturer of prefabricated modular housing products said it has manufactured 450 wall panels totalling 16,200 square metres, all of which are ready for delivery to a contracted customer once foundation work at the site is complete. The order is expected to generate revenue of €4 million in the second quarter of 2025.

However, shares in Eco Buildings closed down 16% at 0.90 pence in London on Tuesday.

The panels were produced using a single-shift operation. Eco Buildings said it is now training new staff to introduce a second daily shift this quarter, which would double capacity.

‘Our ability to produce 16,200 square metres of modular walls under a single shift operation not only demonstrates our excellent operational effectiveness but also sets the stage for even greater production capacity,’ said Chief Executive Officer Sanjay Bowry.

He credited the milestone to improvements in production processes and operating software made by the company‘s engineering team.

The company added that the sale of wall panels for integration into larger buildings provides an additional revenue stream beyond the sale of full modular homes.

Eco Buildings develops prefabricated housing products based on glass fibre-reinforced gypsum panels. It has secured sales contracts in Albania and Kosovo worth up to €114 million in gross sales revenue over three years.
