Science in Sport PLC - London-based sports nutrition company - Confirms it has received a takeover approach from bd-capital Partners Ltd, priced at 34 pence per share. Notes discussions are currently at an ‘advanced stage’. ‘An independent committee of the board has carefully evaluated the indicative terms of the possible offer and has concluded it would be minded to recommend it,’ Science in Sport says, should a firm intention to make an offer be announced. Science in Sport shareholders are advised to take no action at this time, and bd-capital has until May 14 to make a firm offer.
