Kosmos Energy Ltd - Africa focused gas and oil exploration company - Notes the first cargo of liquefied natural gas has been safely loaded at the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project offshore Mauritania and Senegal. Around 174,000 cubic metres of LNG was transferred from Golar LNG’s floating vessel to the ‘British Sponsor’ carrier. The milestone follows first gas in late 2024 and first LNG production in February. Kosmos said this marks the beginning of revenue generation for the project, which has a capacity of 2.7 million tonnes per year.
